Green Spaces Project – Day Trip to Calderstones Park
The Evergreen Club aims to promote the health and wellbeing of our community and reduce the social isolation faced by our elderly. Our Greenspace project- funded through the Green Recovery Challenge Fund- connecting people back to nature, led by Meysey Forest in partnership with LCC.NHS, LJMU, Cheshire Wildlife Trust and the PATT foundation have kicked start new sessions in March. Besides Nordic walking, we arrange activities such as visiting local attractions and outings for members as part of our community participation and support agenda. Calderstones Park is one of our favourite parks to visit and we looking forward to visiting this beautiful home to ancient megaliths that are said to be older than Stonehenge, this is in fact what the park is named after.
